The anticipation is running high at Big Lake RV Park & Campground and even higher inside my head! The 2025 camping season will be our second full season, and there are exciting developments coming. Not a day passes
that we're not planning or creating something to add to the campground.
Last year we were able to complete our laundry, docks, and a few other projects. Mark created a great space for the office. We put up partitions, painted and epoxied the floors, and covered the walls with knotty pine. This new finished space will be our office/welcome area. A small store with retail options will also be in this space. I'm amazed Mark accomplished so much considering the grass needed mowing every three days from the frequent showers we received most of the summer. It reminded me of the tropics - sun, shower, and back to sun.
In this newly opened space there will be a small bakery where we're offer old fashioned baked goods like: muffins, cookies, breads, and more with a hot cup of coffee or tea. I'm expecting to have items from local people in our store. Honey, maple syrup, apparel, jewelry, and souvenirs are a few ideas. Maybe some homemade treats for our guests travelling with their pups.

A small seating area will let people relax, visit together, and connect while they sample our goodies or do their laundry.
I almost forgot to mention our expansion plans. We're permitted for two cabins and this is the year! Mark cut and milled some of the lumber last year and will resume that task as soon as the weather allows. Construction will begin in summer and we'll see how much we can accomplish.

Let me know your thoughts and expectations for a store space, as well as the bakery items that would catch your interest. I would like to include all we can. We'll be learning and adjusting as we go.
We'll be looking down the lane for you.
